As a practicum student at Cottonwood Psychology Centre, Lorato seeks to assist individuals and families in dealing with perinatal issues.

Lorato’s clinical experience includes working as an intern and a therapist in a general hospital, a psychiatric hospital, and a private clinic. She has also worked as a counselling and psychology instructor/lecturer in a college and a university.

She holds a bachelor of psychology degree from the University of Botswana, Botswana and a masters degree in clinical psychology from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. She is currently pursuing her clinical forensic psychology doctoral degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Anaheim, CA under the supervision of Dr. Megan Phillips (PSY28184).

Lorato has a passion for psychology and enjoys working with people to assist them to attain optimum levels of mental health and functioning. She believes in creating a conducive, safe, ethical and culturally sensitive environment for therapy clients to express themselves. She believes, “No one deserves to go through this experience alone when there is help available.”
