Types of Therapy We Offer

At Cottonwood Psychology Center, we treat a wide range of issues in individual therapy, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, stress management, and more.

We offer several types of therapy, including

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

  • Psychodynamic therapy

  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

Our therapists are trained to use a variety of techniques to help clients develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Our Approach

Our therapists work one-on-one with patients to identify and address a range of emotional and behavioral issues. Cottonwood’s unique approach to individual therapy is rooted in evidence-based practices, and our therapists draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques to create a customized treatment plan for each patient.

Most of our patients plan to come to our office for individual therapy services. Individual sessions are 50-55 minutes long and usually happen weekly, though this is dependent upon your unique needs. Together with your therapist, you will identify what you want to work on, and you both will work as a team to accomplish your goals.
