Therapy is an investment—possibly one of the most important ones you’ll make for yourself.

Our therapists have fees in accordance with their licensure level and their expansive specialized training.
Please reach out to your provider directly if you have any questions about their fees.

About Insurance

To help make therapy accessible, all of our therapists can work with insurance on an “out-of-network” basis. This means that you would pay for services directly and we would bill your insurance plan on your behalf (or provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company) so you can receive a reimbursement check for a percentage of your out-of-pocket costs directly from them if you have a PPO plan with out of network coverage. Not all insurance plans have out-of-network coverage, so it is up to you to research the specifics of your plan. Out-of-network reimbursement is not guaranteed and is determined by your individual coverage. Additionally, most HSA and FSA accounts can be used for therapy services, and we accept all major credit cards.

Several of our providers also contract directly with insurance including Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna (Evernorth) Behavioral Health, and Kaiser Permanente of Southern California.

For those who choose to use their “in-network” benefits, please be aware that your insurance company requires a clinical diagnosis to compensate for services which becomes part of your medical record. If you have any questions about this process, please inform your therapist directly. Also, please be aware that many insurance plans also have deductibles that must be met before the plan will pay for services. Our admin team will do their best to verify coverage beforehand, but it is always a good idea to check directly with your individual plan before initiating care.

• 55 Minute Individual Therapy Session: $225

• 45 Minute Individual Therapy Session: $200

• 50-75 Minute Couples Therapy Session: $250

LMFT, LCSW & LPCC Fees

• 55 Minute Individual Therapy Session: $185

• 50-75 Minute Couples Therapy Session: $250

• *80 Minute Couples Therapy Session: $200

• Insurances Provided: In-network with Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Cigna/Evernorth, Kaiser, Aetna

Pre-Licensed Provider Fees

Cottonwood Psychology Center serves as a training site for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists and Associate Clinical Social Workers. These are providers who have earned their master’s degrees and are accruing hours for full independent licensure under a supervisory agreement with their licensed supervisor. Along with these associates, we also have numerous Psychological Associates. Many of our Associates offer a sliding-scale fee as well as contracts with Open Path, a service that connects individuals with income restrictions to dedicated therapists who are committed to providing exceptional services at a significantly reduced rate. Practicum Student Fees

Cottonwood also serves as a space for practicum students seeking doctoral degrees in the field of Psychology to practice their skills in a supervised environment under the scope of a Licensed therapist.
