Greetings, my name is Farbod Khalafi and I am a Psychological Associate (PSB94027097) working under the supervision of Dr. Megan Phillips (PSY28184) as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#121266).

No matter which setting, I believe that effective therapy starts with mutual trust, a supportive therapist, and meaningful goals.

My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive space where my clients can be brave with their feelings and be the best version of themselves. This sets the stage for meaningful and long-lasting change. I tailor my treatment based on my client’s individual needs, situation, and life goals. I aspire to guide clients of all ages to build the skills they need to cope with past, current, or future stresses.

I have worked in community mental health, school-based, and (inpatient/outpatient/residential) substance abuse treatment settings. I have experience working with a range of ages and issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, life transitions, and trauma. I firmly believe that a person does not have to be defined by a diagnosis.

My style of therapy is not just to listen and teach coping skills, but to help clients learn how to meet their core emotional needs and break lifelong patterns that keep them unhappy.

Whether you want to heal from your past, support in your present, or hope for the future I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
