Hello, my name is Alkenia Blackmon, and I am a Psychological Associate (PSB94027297). I work under the supervision of Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Rachael Berg-Martinez ( CA PSY26730/MI 6301019003).

My goal of therapy is to assist individuals (children to adults), families, and couples with creating positive change in their thoughts, emotions, and overall social functioning by improved decision making, behavioral transformation, self-development, and relationships.

I have diverse experiences working with children as young as four years old to adults up to 73 years-of-age facilitating individual, group, and family therapy in diverse settings such as academia, hospital and community mental health, and non-profit organizations. Additionally, I am comfortable assisting clients with varied challenges such as depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, bi-polar, personality disorder, alcohol and substance use, grief, and many others.

My primary therapy approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I utilize an integrative approach as well to meet the needs of the client.

I am enthusiastic about all persons living healthier lives, but my greatest passions are aiding children and adolescents with self-development via discovery of their authentic voice and helping families reduce conflict, demonstrate mutual understanding, and implement transparent communication toward healthy and kind interactions.

Your well-being and trust are of the most importance to me. I look forward to assisting you with reaching your therapy goals so your life goals are accomplished also.
